Important Immunization Information for Current 6th Grade Parents

Students entering 7th grade in the 2019-2020 school year are required to have the Pertussis/Tdap immunization. Students who do not have proof of the booster will not be able to start school until this requirement is met. If your child has already received a Tdap booster on or after their 7th birthday, please bring proof of immunization to the school office. For more information, click on the headline above.

Join Us at the Annual Science Expo!

The annual Moreland Middle Science Expo will be held on Thursday, April 4th from 6:30 - 8:30pm in the MMS cafeteria. This is an opportunity for students to showcase their science skills. There are five categories: Science Experiment, Science Research Project, Bridge-building, Tower-building, and the Catapult. All grade levels are invited to join. It's going to be an interesting and entertaining evening, so we hope to see you there!

In Need of Homework Help?

Does your child need help with homework? We can help! On Mondays, we offer homework help at lunch in D4. On Tuesdays, homework help is available at Starbird Youth Center (1050 Boynton Ave. in San Jose) with Miss Song from 3:00-4:00. On Thursdays, homework help is available from 7:30-7:55am in Room E2.

Upcoming Sexual Health Education Parent Information Evenings (click here for more info)

The Moreland School District invites parents of 7th grade students to preview the curriculum that will be taught to your students. Come learn about the Positive Prevention Plus (PPP) curriculum from experienced trainers who are experts in this curriculum. There are three dates/locations to choose from: Moreland Middle School Library on 3/5 (6-8pm), Latimer Library on 3/12 (6-8pm), Easterbrook Discovery School Library on 3/21 (6-8pm). Honor Roll Permission Slips Due Friday!

This month, we will be having our honor roll trip to the movies to see Wonder Park, and permission slips are due this Friday, March 15th by 4pm. Permission slips are available in the office. Students who earned honor roll during the 1st or 2nd quarter are eligible to attend the trip to the movies. If your student would like to participate, please have him/her turn the completed permission slip and money ($7.00) into the office by Friday, March 15th at 4pm.
