At the May 9th Board Meeting, designated members of our MMS Family were recognized as MMS' People of the Year! Congratulations to Shanna Urbancic (Certificated Employee of the Year), Veronica Trejo (Classified Employee of the Year), and Lisa Palumbo (Community Volunteer of the Year). A special congratulations to Shanna Urbancic who was awarded District's Teacher of the Year!

There will be no school on Monday, September 4th.

Back to School Night will be held Thursday, August 31st at 6:00 p.m. Students will be released at 1:10 on this day.

The first day of school is Thursday, August 17th. School begins at 8:00 a.m. and dismissal time is 2:20 p.m.

Picture day for 6th graders will be held during orientation on August 14th. Picture day for 7th/8th grade students will be held on August 14th from 12:00-2:00 pm.
Students will receive their student body ID cards on this day.

Our 6th grade student orientation will be held on Monday, August 14th from 9:30 - 11:30 in the Community Center located at 1850 Fallbrook Drive. The 6th grade parent welcome begins as 9:15 in the MMS Library and will last approximately one hour.

Congratulations to the following students who earned awards at the MathCON competition in Chicago on April 22nd: Ashwin Rajan (Gold Medal), Justin Jung (Honorable Mention), and Siddharth Banerjee (Honorable Mention).

Before the end of the school year, be sure to check our Lost & Found (right outside of the office). Unclaimed items will be donated to a charity.

On Thursday, June 15th eighth graders will participate in the MMS Promotion Ceremony at 4:00 p.m. in the Mustang quad. Students must report back to MMS by 3:30 pm. The ceremony will last approximately one hour. Gates will open at 3:00 p.m. and seating will be on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Unless a person is physically sitting in a chair, it will be considered an "open" seat.
