The Moreland School District invites parents of 7th grade students to preview the curriculum that will be taught to your students. Come learn about the Positive Prevention Plus (PPP) curriculum from experienced trainers who are experts in this curriculum. There are three dates/locations to choose from: Moreland Middle School Library on 3/5 (6-8pm), Latimer Library on 3/12 (6-8pm), Easterbrook Discovery School Library on 3/21 (6-8pm). This month, we will be having our honor roll trip to the movies to see Wonder Park, and permission slips are due this Friday, March 15th by 4pm. Permission slips are available in the office. Students who earned honor roll during the 1st or 2nd quarter are eligible to attend the trip to the movies. If your student would like to participate, please have him/her turn the completed permission slip and money ($7.00) into the office by Friday, March 15th at 4pm.

As a parent, your input and ideas about our school district are important. You can help us do the best possible job of educating our children by taking a few minutes to complete our 2019 parent survey (available in English and Spanish). The school calendar for the 2019-2020 school year has been released. The first day of school will be Thursday, August 22nd.

The Moreland School District is proud to present “Positive Parenting Workshop”, a free workshop through the month of March open to all Moreland families. Find solutions to: • How do I get my children out of bed in time for school? • How can I stop my children from whining & fighting? • How do I get my children to help with the chores without an argument? • And more! The workshop is held on Tuesdays, March 5, 12, 19, 26, 2019 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at Easterbrook Discovery School. Register by clicking on the headline above.

MMS will have two 5th grade parent tours at 8:30am on Thursday, February 7th (now full) and Tuesday, February 26th. Please check into the office when you arrive. This tour is for parents only and generally lasts an hour.

There will be no school February 18th - February 22nd. PLEASE NOTE: Dismissal is at our regular time (2:20pm) on Friday, February 15th.

Send your 8th grader off to high school with a sweet message and a baby/childhood photo! Cost is $25. Cash or check can be turned into the office or room C4. Also, it's a tradition for 8th graders to submit their favorite quotes for the yearbook (no cost, but parent approval is needed). Print the form for the baby ad and/or quote by clicking on the headline above. The completed form must be turned in by Friday, February 15th.
