Students entering 7th grade in the 2020-2021 school year are required to have the Pertussis/Tdap immunization. Students who do not have proof of the booster will not be able to start school until this requirement is met. If your child has already received a Tdap booster on or after their 7th birthday, please mail (4600 Student Ln., San Jose 95130) or email ([email protected]) proof of immunization. Get a jump start on completing your required first-day packet! The annual First Day Packet is now available online through Aeries Parent Portal now through mid-September. This packet asks you to review emergency contact information, review required annual notifications, and check permissions for your student. After mid-September, parents can call or email the office to update contact information. Click on the headline above if you need assistance.

Anderson Elementary will be providing free meals on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00am-12:30pm. Kids can receive 2 free breakfasts and 2 free lunches beginning Monday, June 15th. Meals will be served curb side to drive up or walk up families. Eligibility not required to receive free meals. Anderson Elementary is located at 4000 Rhoda Drive in San Jose. If you were unable to pick up materials for your child earlier this week, you can do so Thursday, August 13 or Friday, August 14 between 8am-3pm. Please go to Room F2 to borrow a Moreland Chromebook (if necessary), pick up textbooks and supplies. Only parents may come to pick up materials. Students should not come to campus.

Technology and Textbooks were collected from parents on June 8-10 from 9am-12pm. If you were unable to bring your items during this time, you MUST bring back the items on Friday, June 12th between 9am and 12pm. Parents must return any school items that your child has at home (Chromebooks with chargers, MSD Hot Spots, textbooks, library books, instruments, etc.). Prior to arriving at MMS, please use a Post-it to label books with student name and teacher name for the classroom it belongs. Chromebooks should be also labeled with the student name on a Post-it. Please bring your items to the main office.

The Superintendent’s Task Force has been meeting to help plan for various possibilities when re-opening school for the 2020/2021 school year. This group, made up of staff from all facets of our organization, will help to shape answers and formulate how the District is going to best educate students as the community is released over time to return to normal school life for students. There are a variety of ways that parents can be involved in providing input. Please feel free to send emails to the Superintendent, provide feedback in the frequent parent surveys and share thoughts with your site leaders. If you haven't yet picked up your prepaid yearbook, or if you'd like to purchase a yearbook, please come to the office by Friday, June 19 (9am-3pm). Cash will be accepted (exact change) or a check made payable to Moreland Middle School. Yearbooks will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. This is a Parent Only Event.
