WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) New Student Orientation on Friday, August 11th
New student Orientation will be held on Friday, August 11th at 8:30 am at Moreland Middle School, located at 4600 Student Lane. This is a student-only event; parents can drop-off students outside of the gym entrance located in the Enrollment Center on Fallbrook Ave. Please do not drop your child off before 8:15 am for new student orientation.
Sixth grade students will attend new student orientation from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. New 7th and 8th grade students will attend new student orientation from 8:30 to 10:30 am. If you are a returning 7th or 8th grade student, you do not attend new student orientation.
MMS staff members and 8th grade students will lead our incoming 6th graders and new 7th/8th graders through a number of activities to help them learn more about our school, including class schedules, electives, school rules, cafeteria procedures, P.E. requirements, and enrichment opportunities. Students can be picked up at the same place they were dropped off. Students should dress in layers as it may start out cold and get warmer throughout the day. Students do not need to bring backpacks with them, but they are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle to use throughout the day. A small snack will be provided.
